Matthew joined the Hamans team in January 2025, moving up from his hometown of Lake Tekapo.
He graduated from the Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka | University of Otago with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Philosophy, Politics and Economics) in 2024. He is planning on being admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court mid-2025.
Matthew is a member of our busy Family Law team, who specialise in:
- relationship property and spousal maintenance disputes,
- the protection of assets prior to a relationship,
- the division of assets upon separation including personally owned assets, companies and trusts,
- care of children, guardianship and family violence disputes.
