About
Ryan joined the Harmans team in June 2026. He graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Laws in 2022 and was admitted to the Legal Bar in September 2023.
Following admission Ryan relocated to the North Island where he practiced for three years across the Criminal and Family jurisdictions before returning back to his hometown of Christchurch.
Ryan is a member of our busy Family Law team, who specialise in:
- relationship property and spousal maintenance disputes.
- protection of assets prior to a relationship.
- the division of assets upon separation including personally owned assets, companies and trusts.
- care of children, guardianship and family violence disputes.
Ryan is also a keen sportsman. He has represented Canterbury and New Zealand in football and futsal. He also enjoys water sports and surfing in his free time.
